Mark - specialist in recording sax students playing One of Mark’s many specialisms besides developing the Blowout Sax books and approach is helping students create original music on their sax. Over the years using 4,8 and 16 track recording machines and now using the wonders of the Logic program on the MacBook, saxophonists who can improvise/jam have their first take recorded with a top quality microphone while they play along to one of many pieces of music Mark has composed over the last 20 years. Mark then guides the students through listening out for the hooks and other phrases that are gems and then over a couple of sessions together they work these up until a piece of music has been fully composed.The students even entitle the music themselves.
